Morrie has been assisting clients in the Philadelphia area since 1988. He practiced architecture and landscape architecture in Arizona and Southern California before moving here. in 2019 Morrie merged his previous firm, BWA with Rich Olaya, his longtime friend and director of Olaya Studio, to create O Z Collaborative.
Morrie couples his passion for great design with his joy of engaging with his clients. The breadth of his design expertise is best illustrated by his work on iconic Philadelphia cultural spaces such as the Reptile House at the Philadelphia Zoo, Washington Crossing Historic Park, Awbury Arboretum and the Library Company of Philadelphia. His commitment to serving the larger community encompasses many higher education, Philadelphia K-12, various religious groups, and multi-family, supportive housing projects.
Morrie and his family, having resided in several Philadelphia neighborhoods including Chinatown and Washington Square West, have been rooted in West Mount Airy for the last 25 years, where he has served on various non-profit boards and neighborhood organizations leading efforts towards better development outcomes and historic preservation. While not immersed in architecture, Morrie has found joy and passion in the discovery of travel, wine and reading!
