Won Institute was outgrowing its home in Glenside, PA and sought a new property to create an expanded campus. Their new property, a vacant two-story, 29,000 square foot light industrial building afforded them plenty of space for their programs, as well as a landscaped setting and ample parking. Korean Won Buddhism is the core of the Institute’s curriculum, which focuses on both the training and practice of meditation, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The completed project includes classrooms, private treatment and instructional spaces, a larger clinical space, an herbal medicine dispensary, small and large mediation halls (Dharma Halls), a library, student lounges, offices and a walled mediation garden.
