Equal Measure Offices

After more than 30 years of serving non-profits in the region, Equal Measure, a strategic planning and consulting firm that serves non-profits, decided it was time to move into a new space that better reflected their values and culture. O Z Collaborative was engaged to provide full architectural, interior, and FF&E services to bring these goals to fruition. After several test fits in various locations throughout Center City, Equal Measure selected a 5,700 SF space at 520 Walnut Street. Our design team conducted a series of programming sessions, interviews, and presentations to help the office staff understand how they work and to shift their thinking about space usage.
Virtually all of the staff had their own private offices; however, our research revealed that oftentimes they work remotely or travel to visit their clients. Our design for their new home created a mix of private offices, nooks, open workstations, and various-sized meeting rooms, which fostered both collaboration and privacy. Natural light and open interior views along with custom built furnishings help connect office space and orient them toward communal areas, emphasizing Equal Measure’s ethos of community and collaboration
